The images can be in DICOM as well as in JPG/BMP format. Not aligned images are also accepted. Ultrasound devices not able to generate images with template indication are also used with the aid of a real time image processing system.

Regions of interest, such as prostate, urethra, rectum, etc.., are entered to perform volumetric analysis and DVH calculation. Quality representative parameters as D90, D100 are also given.

The treatment plan is designed using axial (CT or TRUS) images. Seed are individually or as needles located. Implant strategy is completely free, mixing of different activity seeds is possible. Poster view of implant planes is displayed by the system.

Pre or post implant analysis are enabled. Automatic seed detection algorithm is provided for DICOM CT images.

DVH and isodose curves in axial, saggital and coronal views are provided for implant evaluation. Three-dimensional graphs are also displayed by the system.

A database is used to define available sources. Dosimetry parameters for dose calculation are easily defined by the user.

Printed information of the implant scheme is given for needle configuration and for guidance during surgical procedure.
